Description

From the heights of 2,020 feet on Spring Mountain, this 2024 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is an enduring testament to altitude, terroir, and masterful winemaking. Crafted by Wesley Steffens in his inaugural vintage, it captures the extraordinary balance of the year—low yields, ideal ripening, and mountain-grown intensity. Aged for 26 months in new French oak, every bottle reflects structure, elegance, and timeless depth. Limited to just five cases for Premiere Napa Valley, this wine is a singular collector’s treasure, a pure expression of our estate, and a celebration of the quiet artistry and patience that define each vintage atop Spring Mountain.

Wesley Steffens

Winemaker, Vineyard 7 & 8

Winemaker, Wesley Steffens

Wesley Steffens’ path in Napa Valley began with a deep respect for craft and place. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, his early career was shaped by formative years at The French Laundry and Harlan Estate, where precision, discipline, and an uncompromising pursuit of excellence became foundational to his approach.

That path ultimately led him up Spring Mountain to Vineyard 7 & 8, where he took the reins of his family’s estate and assumed the role of Director & Winemaker. Here, Wes focuses on transparency of site, low-yield precision farming, and thoughtful, minimal-intervention winemaking—allowing each block and vintage to speak clearly and honestly.

At a small, family-owned estate, leadership is as much about restraint as ambition. Wes’s role is to steward the land, guide the wines with intention, and ensure that every decision honors both the past and the future of Vineyard 7 & 8.
