Description
This special blend is a heartfelt tribute to the ancestors who helped pioneer California’s wine industry in the 1800s. Crafted in a refined, French-inspired style, it balances approachable tannins with bright acidity and elegant fruit, honoring both heritage and timeless technique. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Negrette creates a wine of grace, depth, and enduring character. Fermented in open barrels and aged 23 months in French oak, it captures subtlety, structure, and harmony. Each bottle tells a story of tradition reimagined, offering a sophisticated and layered expression that bridges history and contemporary elegance.
Tim Bacino
Winemaker, Gen 7 Wines
With more than 180 years of winemaking heritage behind him, sixth-generation winemaker Tim Bacino is the heart and soul of GEN 7 Wines. His story is the continuation of a legacy that began in 1832, when the founding Brookside (Vache´) family established their roots in Monterey County, becoming one of California’s earliest pioneering wine families.
Tim continues the tradition with boundless dedication. When he’s not in the cellar or visiting vineyards, he loves spending time with his family, cooking, fishing and relaxing at the beach. Under his vision, GEN 7 has established an inviting Napa Valley tasting room at the Grand Reserve Resort.
Tim personally visits boutique vineyards across Napa, Sonoma and Northern California, tasting and evaluating fruit to select those with exceptional character.
As Tim shares with guests, “Our family has a deep love for wine and for California. We are blessed to rekindle the wines of our past alongside the new creations we craft for you to experience and enjoy.”
