Description
Red Lava is a rare, high-impact expression of Atlas Peak, drawn from 100% estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon. Rooted in volcanic hillside soils, this rugged, rocky site yields fruit of intense character, layered with mineral depth and a formidable persona. Each lot was harvested, fermented, and barrel-aged separately, allowing precision selection at every stage. From the finest barrel of the 2024 vintage, just five cases were bottled for this exclusive offering. Powerful yet focused, Red Lava captures the raw energy of its volcanic origin—concentrated, expressive, and shaped by a true sense of place.

David Grega has built a reputation as a top luxury winemaker in Napa Valley since 2008. As Associate Winemaker for the legendary brand “Tor” and many other boutique brands, David worked alongside Jeff Ames on several wines that received coveted 100-point perfect scores from top critics and publications, including Robert Parkers’ Wine Advocate, Antonio Galloni, Jeb Dunnuck, International Wine Report (iWineReport) to name a few.
David brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the VinRoc family that will see the brand into a new chapter of excellence and expression of its world class terroir high atop Napa Valley in the Atlas Peak appellation.
David lives in Napa with his wife, Lindsey, and five children: Maverick, Mars, Romeo, Arlo and Elliot.
