Description
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our organically farmed, single estate vineyard on Mt. Veeder, perched above the fogline with elevations reaching 1,800 feet. The site’s rocky, well-drained soils enhance mineral complexity, while the cool mountain climate and extended growing season allow for ideal ripening and refined tannins. Crafted with precision and respect for the vineyard, this wine reflects the unique character of Mt. Veeder terroir—structured, expressive, and layered. A true estate-grown expression, it embodies the harmony of nature and craftsmanship, offering a Cabernet Sauvignon of depth, balance, and enduring Napa Valley elegance.

Chris Carpenter
Winemaker, Mt. Brave
I began as a harvest enologist at Domaine Carneros, then a viticulturist intern at Domaine Chandon as I was pursuing an MS in viticulture and enology at UC Davis. During my last year at UC Davis, I spent six months making wine at Tenute Antinori in Tuscany, Italy. Following graduation, I joined the winemaking team at the Cardinale estate as enologist and in 2000 became the winemaker for Lokoya. A year later, I was appointed winemaker for Cardinale and in 2005 for La Jota Vineyard Co.
